The Jigawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (JISITDEA) is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Conformance target
We are working towards full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The site is regularly reviewed and improved. At this time we consider the website to be partially conformant — parts of the content may not yet fully meet every criterion. Where we are aware of limitations, they are listed below.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Form fields with associated labels, and clear, visible keyboard focus styles.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced motion preference, and a pause control on the homepage slideshow.
- Colour choices intended to maintain readable contrast, and layouts that adapt to mobile and desktop.
Known limitations
We are actively addressing the following and welcome your feedback:
- A full independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit is scheduled; some colour-contrast and touch-target sizes are still being verified.
- Some uploaded documents (e.g. PDFs) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers.
- Third-party or embedded content may not always meet the same standard.
